Claude FAQ Quick Reference: login verification, chat interruptions, and content refusals

Claude

When using Claude, the most common hassles revolve around login verification, messages failing to send, chats suddenly getting interrupted, and content being rejected by the system. Below, these common Claude issues are broken down by scenario, with a troubleshooting sequence you can follow directly. If you go step by step, you can usually pinpoint the cause within a few minutes.

Can’t log in / verification stuck: check the browser first, then the environment

If you see a blank Claude login page, repeated redirects, or verification spinning endlessly, first try switching browsers or using an incognito/private window, and disable ad blockers and script-blocking extensions. Then clear the site cache and cookies—many issues that “seem like account problems” are actually caused by stale cache.

If Claude flags suspicious activity or requires additional verification, try to log in from a stable, consistent network environment, and avoid frequently switching nodes and devices. If you’re logged in on too many devices, log out on the current device first and then log back in to reduce the chance of triggering risk controls.

Messages won’t send / chat interrupted: narrow it down layer by layer from network to input

If Claude shows send failures, spins for a long time, or the conversation is interrupted, refresh the page and retry once, then check whether your network has packet loss or is being interfered with by proxy rules. You can temporarily test with a mobile hotspot: if it works after switching networks, the issue is with your local network or proxy routing/splitting.

Also, very long inputs or pasting a large amount of text at once can slow Claude down or even cause interruptions. Send the content in sections, and add a line before each section like “Please confirm you’ve received this before I continue”—this is usually more reliable than repeatedly retrying.

Content rejected or violation warning: rewriting is more effective

If Claude says it can’t help or the content is rejected, first check whether it contains sensitive instructions, personal privacy, or clearly high-risk operational details. Reframe your goal as “explain the principles, give safety advice, provide compliant alternatives,” and you can often continue the conversation.

If you’re doing normal writing but still get blocked, delete keywords that can easily trigger false positives and use more neutral, contextualized descriptions. For Claude, the clearer “what you want me to do” is, and the more compliant “how you want me to do it” is, the higher the success rate.

File/image processing issues: format and size are the top suspects

If Claude uploads fail or content is read incompletely, first convert the file to a more common format (such as PDF or TXT) and limit the file size and page count. For scanned PDFs, it’s recommended to run OCR or export the text first; otherwise, Claude may only see the image layer and end up “unable to read the content.”

If image recognition is unsatisfactory, prioritize improving clarity and contrast, and try to avoid very small font sizes in long images. Crop key areas into multiple smaller images and have Claude analyze them one by one—this is usually more reliable than uploading a single large image all at once.
