Claude FAQ: Login Verification, Regional Access, and Account Security Handling

Claude

This article compiles the most common issues when using Claude: failed login verification, pages getting stuck, restricted regional access, and account security handling. For each issue, it provides an actionable troubleshooting sequence, aiming to get Claude back to a usable state with minimal hassle.

1. How to handle Claude login loops or not receiving verification codes

When Claude keeps redirecting during login, first retry in an incognito window, then clear the browser cache and cookies—often an old session is the cause. If you have ad blockers, script managers, or privacy-related extensions installed, it’s recommended to temporarily disable them before logging in to Claude.

If you’re not receiving the verification code, check the spam folder/promotions tab first, and confirm your email hasn’t enabled “automatically filter emails from unknown senders.” If the same email requests verification codes multiple times in a short period, Claude may apply rate limiting; waiting 10–20 minutes before trying again is usually more reliable.

2. Claude page keeps loading (spinning) and messages won’t send

A continuously spinning/loading Claude page is commonly caused by an unstable network or the browser blocking required requests. You can refresh the page first, then try switching browsers (Chrome/Edge) or switching networks before attempting to send again in Claude.

If messages won’t send, first copy what you typed locally to avoid losing it. Then reduce extremely long text pasted in one go, remove abnormal characters (such as large amounts of special symbols or invisible spaces), and send the content to Claude in segments—success rates will improve noticeably.

3. Claude says the region is unavailable or access is restricted

When Claude indicates your region is unavailable, it’s usually related to the account’s registration region, the current network egress region, or risk-control policies. First check whether your system time zone and browser language settings are abnormal, then try again with a more stable network environment to access Claude.

If you’re using Claude on a corporate/campus network, some gateways may block related domains or long-lived connection requests, making it look like “loading failed.” Testing with a mobile hotspot can quickly confirm this: if the hotspot works, it’s a network policy issue—you’ll need to ask the network administrator to allow it or switch networks.

4. How to recover when a Claude account is flagged as abnormal and requires extra verification

If Claude shows an “abnormal activity” warning, change your password first and enable two-factor verification for your email (if supported), then log back in to Claude. Avoid frequently switching devices and IPs, and don’t repeatedly log in across multiple browsers at the same time—these behaviors are more likely to trigger security checks.

If you suspect your account has been compromised, check your email for recent login alerts and whether forwarding rules have been tampered with, and revoke any unfamiliar third-party authorizations. After completing these steps, return to Claude to log in—this usually reduces the chance of triggering risk controls again.

5. Small habits to make Claude more stable

For day-to-day use, it’s recommended to stick to one or two commonly used devices and browsers, and regularly update your browser version. For important conversations, it’s best to back them up locally in notes or documents to avoid losing temporary content after a page refresh caused by network fluctuations.

Also, before uploading images or files, confirm the size and format are common, and use English letters and numbers for filenames as much as possible—this can reduce parsing failures in Claude. When issues arise, troubleshoot in the order of “extensions → cache → network → account,” which is usually more time-saving than reinstalling blindly.
