According to tech media outlet 9to5Mac, OpenAI has just teased the release of its next AI software product, expected to be officially unveiled later today. Industry consensus points to the debut of the gpt-image-2 image generation technology, which brings significant improvements in text rendering and realistic user interface generation. Previously, OpenAI's image generation often suffered from blurry or garbled text embedding. gpt-image-2 is expected to address this pain point, producing clearer text in AI-generated images and layouts that better conform to actual UI design standards.
Alongside this, OpenAI has also introduced the Codex "Chronicle" feature, designed to enhance contextual understanding and help developers manage code projects more efficiently. The Mac version of the Codex app now includes three key new capabilities, extending beyond agentic programming to more practical use cases on Apple devices. These updates together showcase OpenAI's ongoing expansion of its AI tool ecosystem, covering a broader range of productivity needs—from image generation to code collaboration.
