Gemini App Hit by Bug: Key Features Reverted, Old UI Returns on Android

A significant bug has hit Google's Gemini app on Android, causing several recently launched features to roll back unexpectedly and the user interface to revert to an older design. Affected users report that tapping the "+" menu in the app no longer brings up the Tools menu as expected, making the overall interaction feel like an older version. However, the web version of Gemini (gemini.google.com) remains unaffected by this bug. Users can still access all features normally via mobile browsers or the Progressive Web App (PWA).

For Android users who urgently need advanced Gemini features, switching temporarily to the web version is currently the most stable workaround.
