The field of network security has achieved a new breakthrough: Windscribe VPN software now natively integrates the OpenClaw AI agent platform, meaning AI assistants can directly manage and control virtual private network connections. According to CNET, this update allows users to deploy "agentic agents" within the VPN service, enabling automated network operations through natural language commands or preset rules.
Windscribe has not only provided a detailed OpenClaw Skill setup guide, but also demonstrated several practical scenarios: for example, automatically ensuring the VPN tunnel reconnects before the agent becomes active after a power outage; enabling the AI agent to automatically switch to a specific regional node based on task requirements (i.e., "geo-migration"); and setting up a "Kill Switch" emergency disconnect mechanism for agents to prevent unencrypted traffic leaks. Additionally, Windscribe has uploaded the complete open-source code for this skill to GitHub, freely available for developers, and the skill specification is compatible with all Agentic AI frameworks that support the same standard—not limited to OpenClaw.
