How to Register an OpenClaw Account – Step by Step

To start using OpenClaw AI proxy, you first need to create an account. Visit the official OpenClaw website and click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner. Enter your email address and set a strong password (mix of uppercase, lowercase, and numbers is recommended), then click "Create Account". An email verification link will be sent to your inbox. Click that link to activate your account. Once activated, you can log into the OpenClaw dashboard and begin using basic proxy features right away.

If you don't see the verification email, check your spam folder or request a new one. OpenClaw currently supports major email providers like Gmail and Outlook, but some Chinese email services may block the verification email. If that happens, try switching to a different email address.

Binding Payment Methods & Choosing a Plan

After registration, log into the OpenClaw control panel and navigate to "Billing" to link a payment method. OpenClaw accepts credit cards and PayPal. For users in China, a Visa or Mastercard that supports international payments is recommended. Once your payment method is set, you can pick a plan. OpenClaw offers two options: a free plan with daily basic request limits (ideal for light testing) and a Pro plan that unlocks all premium proxy nodes and higher request caps (suitable for daily heavy use).

If you encounter payment errors, first check whether your credit card has international payment enabled or if your PayPal balance is sufficient. Some banks block overseas transactions, so contact your bank ahead of time to authorize the payment. After successfully binding, the system will automatically charge and activate Pro access – the whole process usually takes just a few minutes.

Managing Multiple Accounts & Fast Account Switching

Many users maintain multiple OpenClaw accounts – for example, one for work and another for personal testing. The OpenClaw dashboard defaults to one account per device, but you can quickly switch using the "Account Switcher" feature. In any active proxy window, click your user avatar in the bottom left, select "Switch Account", and enter the email and password of your other account to switch instantly.

For safer multi-account management, use a different password for each account and avoid checking "Remember Me" on shared or public devices. If you frequently switch between accounts over long periods, consider using your browser's multi-user profile feature. Assign each OpenClaw account to a separate browser profile to avoid repeated logins while keeping sessions isolated.
