AI company Anthropic recently rolled out a major update for creative professionals, officially releasing nine new Claude connectors that integrate with leading creative software such as Blender, Adobe, Autodesk, Ableton, and Splice. This move marks Claude AI’s deeper shift from a general-purpose conversational assistant into specialized creative workflows. In its official blog post, Anthropic stated that these connectors allow Claude to work alongside the tools creators use every day, thereby “extending the boundaries of what creators can do.”
Among the integrations, the connection with the open-source 3D creation suite Blender stands out. The Blender development team built a dedicated MCP connector for Claude, leveraging Blender’s Python API so that Claude can add new tools directly within the Blender interface, enabling intelligent modeling, material adjustments, and other assisted operations. Additionally, Anthropic announced it has become a sponsor of the Blender Development Fund, supporting the continued growth of this free open-source project. Other connectors cover Adobe’s suite (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Autodesk Maya, Ableton Live audio production tools, and the Splice music resource platform.
