Gemini App Now Lets You Generate Documents and PDFs Directly

Google's AI assistant Gemini has received a significant feature update. According to 9to5Google, the Gemini app can now directly generate downloadable files in a variety of formats, including Google Workspace documents (Docs, Sheets, Slides), PDFs, Microsoft Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX), CSV, LaTeX, plain text (TXT), rich text (RTF), and Markdown (MD). Google says users can now quickly turn creative ideas into ready-to-share, fully formatted files without leaving the Gemini app. This feature is now available to all Gemini users worldwide.

In addition, Google has expanded Gemini's personalization features to the UK market. These include a "memory" mechanism that allows Gemini to remember key preferences and details shared by the user, as well as the ability to import chat history from other AI apps. These updates aim to enhance Gemini's usability as a daily productivity tool, bringing it closer to users' real-world workflows in content generation and file handling.
