Anthropic recently announced the public beta of Claude Security for its Claude Enterprise customers. This cybersecurity tool, formerly known as Claude Code Security, is built on the latest general AI model Claude Opus 4.7, capable of scanning codebases to detect and fix software vulnerabilities. According to official sources, Claude Security supports scheduled and targeted scanning, integrates easily with audit systems, and improves tracking of triaged findings.

During scanning, Claude "reasons" through code like a security researcher, providing detailed explanations for each finding, including the confidence level that a vulnerability is real, its severity, potential impact, and how to reproduce it. Enterprise users can access the tool directly from the Claude.ai sidebar or by visiting claude.ai/security. Anthropic stated that Claude Team and Max customers will also gain access soon. Additionally, Claude Security has partnered with several security vendors, including CrowdStrike, Microsoft Security, Palo Alto Networks, SentinelOne, TrendAI, and Wiz.

The release comes as Anthropic has been rolling out new products in recent weeks—most recently unveiling Project Glasswing and the cutting-edge AI model Claude Mythos Preview. As AI penetration in code auditing accelerates, the launch of Claude Security marks a shift in enterprise security from traditional tools toward AI-native scanning, helping development teams more efficiently address increasingly complex software supply chain threats.
