Toronto, May 19, 2026 — CallCow, the AI phone answering and virtual receptionist platform designed for small businesses, has released a developer guide and a new skill built on the OpenClaw community. This skill allows AI agents to initiate phone calls directly through a single natural language prompt. The skill is now live, and developers can access details at docs.callcow.ai/agent-calling.
Called “agent-call,” this new capability breaks the traditional limitation of AI agents relying solely on text-based communication. CallCow’s Prompt-to-Call API automatically generates the call flow, powers the call using GPT 5.4-driven natural voice synthesis, and returns structured results—including full transcripts, call summaries, and collected data—to a specified callback URL. This means any AI voice agent can make real phone calls without building its own telecom infrastructure. The API and skill support both inbound and outbound calling scenarios and are integrated with major business tools such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, Cal.com, HubSpot, Make.com, and Monday.com.
