Global biopharmaceutical leader Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has announced a strategic agreement with Anthropic to deploy Claude Enterprise as a shared intelligence platform across its global operations. Under the agreement, BMS will integrate Claude's agentic capabilities across research, clinical development, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions — signaling a major leap from traditional conversational AI to enterprise-wide intelligent coordination.
By securely connecting BMS's vast internal repositories of scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial knowledge with its systems, Claude's agentic functions will unlock and activate decades of institutional knowledge. Eric Kauderer-Abrams, Head of Life Sciences at Anthropic, noted that this unified intelligence layer can "automatically generate clinical study reports from underlying trial data, extract relevant scientific context from decades of internal research, or trace the root cause of a production deviation in real time," all while maintaining enterprise-grade governance and audit controls.
