OPenClaw is a popular AI tool, but many first-time users struggle with registration and login. This guide starts from scratch, walking you through how to create an OPenClaw account, log in on different devices, and share practical tips for smooth multi-device switching so you can get up and running quickly.

1. How to Register an OPenClaw Account Step by Step

First, open the OPenClaw official website and click the "Sign Up" button in the top-right corner. Enter your email address and set a strong password that includes uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. After submitting, the system will send a verification email to your inbox. Check your inbox or spam folder, click the link, and complete the activation.

Once activated, you can skip setting an avatar and nickname and start using the tool right away. You can update these details later in your profile settings. One important note: the email you use during registration cannot be changed afterward, so make sure to use your primary email address to avoid issues.

2. Multiple Ways to Log In to OPenClaw

OPenClaw supports three login methods: email + password, Google one-tap login, and Apple ID login. Email login works on any device, while Google login is the quickest. If you're on a mobile device, you can also use SMS verification code login, provided you have linked a phone number beforehand.

When logging in, we recommend checking the "Remember Me" box so you don't have to re-enter credentials next time. However, if you're using a public computer, uncheck this option and always log out after use to prevent unauthorized access.

3. Multi-Device Login and Data Sync

OPenClaw allows the same account to be logged in on both a computer and a phone simultaneously, but only one device can be active at a time. When you log in on a new device, the old one will be automatically signed out. All chat history and settings sync via the cloud without any manual action needed.

For smoother multi-device switching, install the official OPenClaw client on both your phone and computer, and keep them updated to the same version. If you experience sync delays, try refreshing the page or logging in again; it usually recovers within seconds.

4. Account Security and Common Issues

For security, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Go to Settings > Security and choose to bind a phone number or an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. Once enabled, you'll need to enter a dynamic verification code every time you log in, so even if your password is leaked, your account remains safe.

Common issues: Can't receive the verification email? First check your spam folder. If it's not there, try using a different email address (for example, switch from QQ Mail to Gmail). Getting a "Suspicious Login" warning? This usually happens when logging in from an unusual location, triggering the risk control system. Contact customer support with your registered email, and they can quickly lift the restriction.
