KPMG Integrates Claude AI Across 276,000 Employees in Global Rollout

Global professional services firm KPMG recently announced a worldwide strategic alliance with AI company Anthropic, fully integrating the Claude AI system into its operational processes and the daily work of over 276,000 employees. The collaboration spans KPMG’s network across 138 countries and regions, signaling a critical milestone in the large-scale adoption of AI in professional services.

Under the plan, KPMG will embed Claude AI into Digital Gateway, the software platform used by its tax and legal practices, granting access to all global employees. Through integrated Claude Cowork and Managed Agents features, professionals can build AI capabilities directly within the platform to boost productivity. Joint teams will also use Claude to identify and fix security vulnerabilities in critical systems, following KPMG’s Trusted AI Framework for deployment. Additionally, KPMG will serve as the preferred advisory partner for private equity portfolio companies adopting Claude. This global rollout builds on KPMG US’s two years of experience applying Claude within internal teams like its AI and Data Lab.

Commentary: The professional services industry is accelerating its embrace of generative AI to reshape delivery models. By embedding Claude into core business systems rather than using it as a mere support tool, KPMG’s deep integration strategy may set a benchmark for the sector. However, balancing AI efficiency with compliance risks across multinational deployments remains a long-term challenge.
