If you need to use both paid plans (Claude Pro or Team) and the free version simultaneously, it's best to register with different email addresses. Note that Claude accounts cannot be merged at this time, but you can manage multiple accounts in the same browser by using incognito mode or switching accounts.

To switch Claude accounts on the web, simply click the avatar icon in the bottom-left corner, select "Log out," and then log in with another account. If you have multiple browsers, you can log into different accounts on each browser to avoid frequent logouts.
A more efficient approach is to use Chrome's multi-user profiles — create a separate browser profile for each Claude account. This allows you to switch between accounts instantly by switching browser windows, especially useful if you manage both personal and team plans.
4. Common Account Issues & Solutions
If you see "Invalid credentials" during login, it's usually due to a wrong password or a locked account. Try resetting your password or contact Claude support for assistance. A "Too many login attempts" message means you've tried too many times in a short period; wait 30 minutes before trying again.
When registering, "This email is already registered" indicates the email is already in use. You can try another email address or log in with a linked Google/Microsoft account instead. When logging in from different devices, note that Claude has IP-based risk controls — frequently switching between country IPs may trigger temporary restrictions.
