AI bookkeeping platform Digits has officially launched Agentic Close, an end-to-end automated close system that consolidates 24/7 AI bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, auto scheduling, quality control, checklists, and a firm dashboard into a single experience. The system automatically handles collection, posting, reconciliation, scheduling, review, and reporting as financial activities flow into the ledger—delivering continuous close. All accounting firms currently using Digits can access Agentic Close immediately.
Meanwhile, expense management platform Expensify has introduced Expensify MCP (Model Context Protocol, effectively an AI-oriented API), allowing compatible AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor to securely access and analyze Expensify data through natural language queries. Another subscription billing automation platform, Ignition, has also announced its own MCP. CEO Greg Strickland noted that open ecosystems will be a key success factor in the AI era.
