Claude Account Registration & Multi-Device Sync Guide

Claude is an AI assistant developed by Anthropic. Before you can start using it, you'll need to register an account. This guide walks you through the entire process—from signing up and linking your login methods to syncing your account across mobile and desktop devices, while helping you avoid common pitfalls.

Two Ways to Register a Claude Account

The most straightforward way to register is through the official website. Go to claude.ai, click the "Sign Up" button, enter your email address and set a password. You'll receive a verification link in your inbox—click it to activate your account.

If you already have a Google or Apple account, you can also sign up using third-party login. This method is faster and saves you from filling in personal details. It also makes switching between devices easier since you won't need to re-enter your password repeatedly.

Account Linking & Multi-Device Login

Once registered, you can log into the same Claude account on your phone browser or desktop client. Note that Claude does not yet offer an official standalone app, but saving your login state in the browser allows for a mostly seamless experience across devices.

If you want to add another login method later (for example, switching to Google login), go to the "Security" section in your account settings and link additional accounts. This way, even if you forget your password, you can recover your account using an alternative method.

Troubleshooting Common Registration Issues

Many users report not receiving the verification email. This often happens because the email gets filtered into the spam folder. Check your spam or junk folder and whitelist claude.ai. If the issue persists, try using a global email provider like Gmail or Outlook instead.
