AI-native accounting platform Digits has officially launched Agentic Close, an end-to-end continuous close system that unifies 24/7 AI bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, automated scheduling, quality control, checklists, and a firm dashboard into a single workflow. The system captures, records, reconciles, schedules, reviews, and reports financial activity in real time as it enters the ledger, and is available immediately to all accounting firms. Meanwhile, expense management provider Expensify has introduced the Expensify MCP (Model Context Protocol), an AI-oriented API that allows compatible AI assistants—such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor—to securely access and analyze Expensify data through natural language queries. Ignition, a platform focused on subscription revenue and billing automation, has also released its own MCP. Ignition CEO Greg Strickland noted that an open ecosystem is critical for success in the AI era, signaling the industry's accelerating shift toward intelligent, open financial operations.
