AI accounting solution provider Digits has officially launched Agentic Close, an end-to-end automated close system. The product integrates Digits' existing 24/7 AI bookkeeping, AI bank reconciliation, auto-scheduling, quality control, checklists, and firm dashboard into a single experience, enabling real-time collection, recording, reconciliation, scheduling, review, and reporting of all financial activities entering the general ledger. Agentic Close is now available to all accounting firms using Digits.
Meanwhile, expense management platform Expensify has released Expensify MCP (Model Context Protocol — essentially an AI-oriented API). This integration allows MCP-compatible AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and OpenClaw to securely access and analyze Expensify data via natural language queries. In addition, automated billing platform Ignition has announced its own MCP as part of its open ecosystem strategy. Ignition CEO Greg Strickland stated that this openness will be key to success in the AI era.
