Google has pushed the latest version of its Gemini app to macOS users today, bringing a visual icon refresh and a productivity-boosting keyboard shortcut. In this update, the app container background changes from gray to white, aligning with iOS, Android, and the download page. The signature "spark" icon is also slightly larger, making the overall look sharper and more consistent.
On the efficiency front, Google revealed last week that the macOS version of Gemini now lets users press the two Command keys simultaneously to "seamlessly attach the current active window to a chat." This shortcut replaces the traditional manual screenshot process, essentially bringing the Android version's floating overlay feature to the desktop, making it much faster to share documents, code, or design mockups.
