Investment management firm LVP is actively embracing artificial intelligence. Ivan Wong, the company’s head of data and AI, recently revealed that LVP has selected OpenClaw and Anthropic’s Claude model to build a hybrid cloud AI infrastructure. LVP’s portfolio spans clean tech startups, affordable housing, and more. “We are aggressively pushing AI as the key to freeing up human potential for higher-value work,” Wong said. “In the next two to three years, organizations that fail to deeply integrate AI will face existential risk.”
On technology selection, Wong emphasized that pure cloud solutions come with complexity. Deploying the OpenClaw platform locally, combined with the Claude model, better meets the company’s requirements for data control, latency, and compliance. This hybrid cloud architecture allows LVP to process sensitive data on-premises while leveraging cloud-based elastic compute for flexible AI workload scheduling. “If everything runs in the cloud, management becomes tricky—that’s exactly why we chose local deployment,” Wong explained.
