Microsoft’s Xbox team has quietly introduced a new identifier across its platform — the "Exclusive" badge. Multiple users have already noticed the badge appearing in advertisements for Gears of War: E-Day, consisting of a bold "Exclusive" label alongside an icon resembling the Xbox Series X console. The rollout follows the confirmation that Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution are console exclusives, with several senior Xbox executives publicly emphasizing that the exclusivity strategy “absolutely will continue.”
The new badge is designed to clearly distinguish whether a game is exclusive to Xbox consoles, rather than indicating it will launch only on Xbox Series X while skipping Series S. The Xbox user interface has already started featuring the badge, and it is expected to appear on store pages, promotional materials, and even physical packaging in the near future. This marks a systematic effort by Xbox to strengthen the visual identity of its exclusive titles, addressing potential confusion amid the growing trend of multi-platform releases.
