Subscription Plan Overview & Price Differences

Midjourney currently offers three subscription tiers: Basic, Standard, and Pro, with prices ranging from $10 to $60 per month. The Basic plan suits light users, providing roughly 200 image generations per month. Standard costs $30 and bumps the limit to 1,000 images, plus includes Fast Mode access. Pro is $60, offering unlimited generations and Stealth Mode for privacy.

All plans work within Discord, but only Pro subscribers get access to the image review tool and higher concurrent queue slots. Beginners can start with Basic, while heavy creators will find Pro more cost-effective from the start.

Core Feature Comparison: Generation Speed & Resolution

For Fast Mode, Basic includes 15 hours of GPU time per month, Standard offers 30 hours, and Pro gives 60 hours. Once you exhaust those hours, the system automatically switches to Relax Mode—no queue but slower processing. Pro users have the highest Relax Mode priority, resulting in the shortest wait times.

In terms of image resolution, all three tiers support up to 2048×2048 pixels. However, only Pro includes both the "Remix" mode and "Stealth" mode—the latter hides your generated images from public view. Standard and Basic users' creations are public by default and cannot be hidden.

Practical Recommendations: Choose Based on Your Creative Needs

If you're a casual hobbyist, Basic is more than enough—200 images per month covers everyday inspiration. For frequent commercial design or social media graphics, Standard's 1,000-image allowance plus 30 hours of Fast Mode offers excellent value.

Professional studios or designers handling frequent client work should go straight to Pro: unlimited generation, privacy protection, and priority queue access significantly boost productivity. Note that all plans support image upscaling and variation features, but Pro allows the highest number of concurrent tasks (up to 12 at once).
