According to online reports, Anthropic's Claude AI suffered a service outage on Tuesday. The official Anthropic status page reported the issue shortly before 1:30 PM ET, stating that it was investigating a surge of errors affecting numerous models as well as the Claude web interface, API, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork. A later update indicated that the company had attempted a fix and was monitoring the outcome, though a few models remained affected.
While some users on Downdetector jokingly speculated that the outage might mean the return of "Claude Fable 5," that was not the case. In a 2 PM update, Anthropic confirmed it had implemented a fix for the issue and was continuing to monitor results. As of now, no official all-clear has been issued, but signs suggest this was a brief disruption.
