Quick Troubleshooting Checklist for Restricted Access and API Errors with ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, and Gemini

On the same network and using the same card, why can ChatGPT work but Claude won’t let you in; Midjourney can generate images but Gemini just keeps spinning? After hitting these pitfalls myself, I found that most issues aren’t because “you don’t know how to use it,” but because permissions, region, keys, and session state are getting in the way.

Common sticking points with ChatGPT

If the website opens but chats error out, check the browser session first: log in once in incognito mode, clear site cookies, then disable script-blocking extensions. Some people get inadvertently affected by “corporate network policies”—switching to a mobile hotspot often works immediately.

Why Claude always seems to be rejecting you

Claude is more sensitive to region and risk controls. Frequently switching nodes and logging in multiple times in a short period can easily trigger verification. It’s best to stick to one stable exit point and stop switching back and forth; if you do hit an anomaly, waiting a bit and trying again is often more effective than forcing it.

Midjourney image generation failing doesn’t necessarily mean your prompts are bad

On Discord, the most common issues are permissions or channel problems: make sure you’re sending commands in an official server channel (or one where you have permission), that the bot is online, and that it can see your messages. If the queue is very slow, don’t spam resend—doing that makes you look more like you’re flooding and can get you limited.

Handling Gemini spinning or missing features

Gemini sometimes shows situations where “you can get in but some buttons are missing,” which is usually due to region feature flags or account status. Switching browser engines, or logging out and back in once, often helps; if it’s a Workspace account, admin policies may also have disabled features.

Quick method to pinpoint API key errors at a glance

Common developer-facing “API key errors / network connection issues” boil down to three categories: the key is entered wrong or used in the wrong environment, you’ve run out of quota, or the request is being blocked by the network. In the Yarn ecosystem, issues are also often attributed to these items: version dependencies, keys, and network.

  • Confirm the key matches the correct provider and project—don’t drop a test key into production
  • Check console quota and billing status—many “errors” are actually just a zero balance
  • Company proxies/gateways may block requests—switch to a direct connection or add to an allowlist

If you want to avoid detours, I’ve put my hands-on findings about common restrictions, subscriptions, and available regions for each platform on Titikey; if you run into a specific error, you can also use the checklist to pinpoint it quickly.
