This article only covers the basic usage of Claude: how to register, how to complete verification code validation, and how to switch logins between a computer and a phone and sync conversations. Follow the steps and you can usually get your Claude account up and running in a few minutes. If you can’t receive the verification code or the login fails, you can also refer directly to the troubleshooting section at the end.

Registering a Claude account: how to choose the entry point and login method

Open the official Claude website (claude.ai). After clicking Log in/Sign up, you’ll see several common options: email, a Google account, or an Apple account. If you want to skip the hassle of remembering a password, logging in with Google/Apple is usually more convenient; if you want to manage the account independently, registering with email is clearer. No matter which method you choose, you can later log in to both the Claude web version and the mobile app with the same account.

Claude verification code validation: the correct sequence for email and SMS

When registering Claude with email, first enter your email as prompted and receive the email verification code (or verification link), then return to the page to confirm. In some cases, Claude may additionally require an SMS verification code to confirm the account’s usability; follow the prompts to select your country/region and enter your phone number. Verification codes are generally time-limited—if it expires, resend it. Avoid clicking resend repeatedly in quick succession to prevent triggering risk controls.

Logging in to Claude on multiple devices: conversation sync and account-switching tips

Claude conversations are usually saved in the cloud tied to your account, so if you start writing on the computer and then log in on your phone with the same account, you can generally continue and see your history. To switch accounts, it’s recommended to log out first from the account menu in the top-right corner of Claude, then log in again with the new account. If it still automatically jumps back to the old account, clearing browser cookies or switching browser “profiles/users” will be cleaner. The most reliable way to use multiple accounts in parallel is to open Claude in different browsers or different browser profiles.

Common issues: not receiving verification codes, unable to log in, and regional restrictions

If you can’t receive the Claude email verification code, first check the spam/promotions folder, then wait 1–2 minutes and click “Resend.” Corporate email systems may block external emails, so using a personal email address has a higher success rate. If you can’t receive the SMS code, confirm the number format, signal, and SMS blocking settings are correct, and avoid frequent retries in a short time. If Claude indicates the region is unavailable or verification fails, it’s usually due to service coverage or risk-control restrictions; you can only switch to a supported network environment or contact official support as guided on the page. If the page is blank after logging in or keeps loading, first disable script/ad-blocking extensions, refresh the cache, and then re-enter Claude.
