This article explains the complete process for a Claude account—from registration and verification to multi-device login and switching. Follow the steps to avoid common sticking points such as not receiving verification codes, login loops, and unsynced sessions.

1. Claude Account Registration: Two More Reliable Entry Options

After opening the Claude official website, choose either email sign-up or one-click login with a Google account. For email registration, it’s recommended to use an email address you commonly use, as it will make account recovery and security verification easier later on.

After submitting your email, go check for the verification email and click the confirmation link to complete activation; if the page prompts you to continue verification, follow the guidance to finish it. After registration, the first time you enter you’ll be asked to agree to the terms and then you’ll be taken to the main interface.

2. Not Receiving the Email Verification: Check These Three Places First

If the verification email doesn’t arrive, first check your Spam folder and the “Promotions/Subscriptions” categories, then search for the sender or the keyword “Claude.” Some corporate email systems block external verification emails; switching to a personal email address is usually faster.

If there’s still no email, return to the verification page and resend it, avoiding clicking repeatedly in a short time, which can trigger rate limiting. Confirm the email address spelling is correct before trying again—many Claude account issues are simply caused by a single mistyped character.

3. Multi-Device Login and Session Sync: Don’t Let the Browser Hold You Back

After logging into the same Claude account on a computer and a phone, conversations generally sync automatically; if you can’t see new conversations, refresh the page or reopen the app first. If your browser has cookies disabled or ad-blocking extensions installed, it’s easiest to run into the situation where you’re “logged in but can’t get in.”

It’s recommended to allow cookies and scripts for claude.ai and turn off overly aggressive privacy blocking; if necessary, use an incognito window to verify whether an extension is causing the issue. This will stabilize Claude account syncing and login.

4. Switching Claude Accounts: The Two Safest Methods

To switch on the web, click the avatar/menu in the bottom-left corner to enter Settings, choose Log out, then sign in with another email or third-party account. Don’t repeatedly overwrite logins in the same browser, as it can easily cause session mix-ups or login loops.

If you need to stay signed into two accounts long-term, using separate “browser user profiles” to log into different Claude accounts is the cleanest approach; on mobile, log out of the current account in Settings before logging into the new one. After switching, it’s recommended to check your profile page once to ensure you’ve indeed switched to the target Claude account.
