When using Midjourney in Discord, the most common problems aren’t “not knowing how to write prompts,” but sudden errors, generation getting stuck, or not being able to see images in the channel. The troubleshooting checklist below is written in the format “symptom → cause → fix.” Following it usually restores normal usage within a few minutes.
First, use /info for a quick diagnosis—don’t blindly retry
When you encounter a Midjourney error, first run /info in the input box to check whether your subscription is active, whether your Fast time has run out, and whether the queue is abnormal. If the quota looks normal but it still fails, then determine whether it’s a Discord interaction issue or a permissions issue. Blindly retrying repeatedly can easily trigger rate limits, making the problem harder to troubleshoot.
“Interaction Failed/No Response” is most common: start with the channel and client
If you see “Interaction Failed,” or buttons don’t respond, first try switching to another channel or retrying in an official Midjourney room—often the current channel is under heavy message load or the components have glitched. Next, refresh Discord (restart the desktop app, or hard-refresh in the web version) and check whether your network is using an unstable proxy. If the problem happens only in a specific server, it’s usually not your Midjourney account itself, but that server’s permissions or channel settings that have sent your Midjourney troubleshooting in the wrong direction.
