This guide walks you through the complete process of registering a Claude account, configuring login settings, and switching between devices — so you can start using your AI companion with ease.

Complete Process for Registering a Claude Account

Registering a Claude account is very straightforward. First, visit the official Claude website (claude.ai) and click the "Sign Up" button in the upper right corner. You'll need a valid email address — Gmail or Outlook are recommended to ensure you receive the verification email (some domestic email providers may have issues). After entering your email, a confirmation email will be sent. Click the link in the email to verify, then set a password that includes both uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers.

Currently, Claude also supports quick registration via Google account or Apple ID. You can also simply register with your email. During registration, you'll be asked to agree to the terms of service — just check the box. The whole process takes about 3 minutes, and no phone number verification is required, making it very user-friendly for users in China.

Log In to Claude and Bind Your Devices

Once registered, open the Claude website and click "Log In" to enter your email and password and access the main interface. Claude supports logging in via desktop browsers, mobile browsers, and the official mobile app (iOS/Android). To make switching between devices easier, it's recommended that you go to "Settings" after logging in to manage your device list.

In the settings page, find the "Device Management" option. Here you can view currently logged-in devices and authorize new ones. If you download the Claude app on your phone, simply log in with the same account to sync your chat history. Note that Claude does not currently offer a desktop client, but you can create a browser bookmark for quick access.

In your browser, you can quickly switch between accounts by creating different Chrome user profiles or using incognito mode. In the mobile app, Claude does not yet support one-click account switching — you will need to log out of one account before logging into another.

Additionally, Claude accounts support third-party login via Google or Apple. If you use these methods, simply log out first, then authorize with a different Google account when logging back in. Keep in mind that chat histories between different accounts are independent and cannot be merged. We recommend backing up important conversations locally to avoid losing data when switching.
