Two Ways to Register a Claude Account

Claude, the AI assistant developed by Anthropic, offers a straightforward sign-up process. You can register using an email address or log in quickly with your Google account. If you choose email registration, go to claude.ai, click "Sign Up," enter your email and set a password. You'll receive a verification email—click the link to activate your account. Logging in with Google is even faster: one-click authorization takes you straight to the main interface without filling in details again.

Keep in mind that a stable internet connection is needed during registration. In some regions, you may need to use a VPN. If you don't receive the verification email, check your spam folder first, or try a different email address. Gmail and Outlook usually work best.

Logging In and Using the Main Interface

After registration, open the Claude website and click "Log In." Enter your email and password, or use your Google account. The main interface has a conversation list on the left and a chat window on the right. New users will see a welcome message—just type a question to start chatting. Claude supports uploading files (PDF, Word, TXT, etc.). Click the attachment icon next to the input box to upload and analyze document content.

Once logged in, it's a good idea to set your personal information, such as nickname and time zone, under your profile picture in the top-right corner under "Settings." If you manage multiple accounts, you can switch them here.

Switching Accounts and Logging Out

When you need to switch to a different Claude account, simply click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select "Log Out." This logs you out of the current account. Then return to the login page and enter another account's details to sign in. Your chat history won't be lost because each account's data is stored separately. If you use your browser's saved password feature, remember to clear any old autofill entries to avoid confusion when switching.

For users who frequently switch accounts, consider using your browser's multi-user profiles or incognito mode. This way, you can keep two accounts logged in simultaneously without repeatedly logging in and out. Both Chrome and Edge support adding separate profiles, each tied to a different Claude account, making switching fast and efficient.
