KPMG Rolls Out Claude AI to 276,000+ Employees Across 138 Countries

Global professional services firm KPMG recently announced a global alliance with AI company Anthropic, planning to fully deploy its Claude AI system across business operations in 138 countries and regions, reaching more than 276,000 employees. The integration will first be implemented through KPMG's internal software platform, Digital Gateway, which primarily serves tax and legal services, while all global employees will gain access to Claude AI.

Under the partnership, KPMG will embed Claude Cowork and Managed Agents features into Digital Gateway, allowing professional advisors to build AI capabilities directly within the platform. KPMG will also act as a preferred consulting partner, helping private equity firms deploy Claude AI across their portfolio companies. In terms of security and governance, teams from both organizations will use Claude to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in critical systems, strictly following KPMG's Trusted AI Framework. KPMG stated: "This global alliance reflects our shared commitment to responsible AI, prioritizing safety, trust, and governance."

This large-scale deployment builds on the success of Claude's use by KPMG's U.S. team over the past two years, including practical experience gained through its AI & Data Lab and internal teams.
