Global professional services firm KPMG has announced a global strategic alliance with AI company Anthropic, integrating the Claude AI system into its worldwide business operations. The partnership covers more than 276,000 employees across 138 countries and territories, signaling a new phase in the large-scale adoption of generative AI by major professional services firms.
Under the agreement, Claude will be embedded into KPMG’s core business platform, Digital Gateway, which is primarily used for delivering tax and legal advisory services to clients. All KPMG employees will gain access to Claude and will be able to build AI applications directly within the platform. Additionally, Anthropic has named KPMG the preferred advisor for deploying Claude to private equity portfolio companies, and the two teams will jointly develop Claude-based products for these enterprises. The teams will also leverage Claude to identify and patch security vulnerabilities in critical systems, with all activities governed by KPMG’s “Trusted AI” framework.
