Global professional services giant KPMG recently announced a global strategic alliance with AI company Anthropic, fully integrating its Claude AI across business operations. The rollout covers more than 276,000 employees across 138 countries and regions, marking a key step for major consultancies in large-scale generative AI deployment.

Under the agreement, KPMG will embed Claude into its core business software platform, Digital Gateway, which is used for client work in areas such as tax and legal services. Every KPMG employee will gain access to Claude and can build customized AI capabilities directly through the platform's Claude Cowork and Managed Agents features. Additionally, Anthropic has named KPMG as its preferred partner for the private equity sector, with both companies collaborating to develop new Claude-based products and services for PE portfolio companies.

On security and governance, KPMG will leverage its Trusted AI framework to work with Anthropic’s team in identifying and fixing potential vulnerabilities in critical systems. This global rollout builds on two years of pilot experience with Claude in KPMG US’s AI and data labs and other departments. Analysts believe the partnership will not only boost KPMG’s internal efficiency but could also set a benchmark for AI adoption in the professional services industry — as one of the Big Four fully embraces an AI assistant, competitors are expected to follow suit quickly.
