May 19, 2026, Toronto — CallCow, the AI phone answering and virtual reception platform for small businesses, has officially published an all-in-one developer guide and introduced a community-built OpenClaw skill. This skill enables AI agents to place real phone calls directly from a single natural language prompt, without relying on traditional telephony infrastructure. The documentation and skill are now available at docs.callcow.ai/agent-calling.
At the heart of this capability is CallCow’s Prompt-to-Call API. Developers simply enter a natural language instruction, and the API automatically generates the call flow, then uses a natural voice engine powered by GPT 5.4 to execute the call. After the call ends, the system sends structured results—including a transcript, summary, and any collected data—back to a predefined callback URL. This design marks a major shift from most AI agents that are limited to text-based channels, allowing any AI voice agent to directly place real phone calls. The skill also comes with built-in integrations for popular tools such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, Cal.com, HubSpot, Make.com, and Monday.com, handling both inbound and outbound business calls.
