Canadian AI phone service platform CallCow recently released a developer guide and launched a community skill for OpenClaw. This skill allows AI agents to initiate phone calls directly through a single natural language prompt, breaking the limitation of AI agents being restricted to text-based channels. The skill is available immediately at docs.callcow.ai/agent-calling, providing small businesses with a more intelligent voice interaction capability.
At the core of this feature is CallCow's Prompt-to-Call API. Developers simply input a natural language instruction, and the API automatically generates a calling workflow, leveraging the Natural Voice Engine powered by GPT 5.4 to execute real phone calls. Once a call is completed, the system sends the transcript, call summary, and any structured data collected back to a designated callback URL. This architecture enables AI voice agents to achieve two-way conversations without the need to build their own telephony infrastructure, significantly lowering the integration barrier.
