Login Failure: Verification Code & Network Diagnosis

When logging into Claude, encountering "verification code not received" or "login timeout" is often related to your network environment. Start by checking if your proxy tool is set to global mode, and try switching to a US or Japan node.

If the verification code email is delayed, check your spam folder and add noreply@anthropic.com to your whitelist. If you use Gmail or Outlook, some domestic email providers may cause delays—consider switching to an international email service to re-register.

Additionally, if you get logged out frequently or see a "session expired" message, it may be due to the account being used on multiple devices at once. Go to settings to log out of other devices, and change your password regularly.

Subscription Issues: Payment Failure & Card Not Charged

Claude Pro subscription requires a credit card that supports international payments or a PayPal account. Common payment failure reasons include: the card not having overseas payments enabled, bank fraud prevention blocking the transaction, or a mismatch between your billing address and IP.

We recommend using a Visa/Mastercard single-currency card instead of a UnionPay dual-currency card. If PayPal is linked but still fails, check that your account balance is sufficient and that your preferred payment method is set to credit card.

Payment was deducted but Pro not upgraded? Wait 5 minutes and refresh the page. If it still doesn't take effect, contact Claude support with the transaction ID. Note: For Apple in-app purchases, refunds must be processed through the App Store—Claude's official channel cannot handle them directly.

Account Management: Locked Account & Security Settings

Multiple incorrect password attempts or logins from unusual locations can trigger a temporary account lock. Usually it unlocks automatically after 15 minutes, or you can receive an unlock link via your registered email. Do not keep trying repeatedly, or the account may be permanently banned.

We recommend enabling two-factor authentication: go to Settings > Security, and bind Google Authenticator or Authy. This way, even if your password is leaked, no one else can log in.

If you are using a shared account, make sure to log out after each use to avoid multiple people operating simultaneously, which could cause account anomalies. For family plan sharing, ensure all family members are from the same region, otherwise it may be flagged as a violation.
