Google announced on Monday that its personalized AI image generation feature in the Gemini app is now available for free to US users. The feature is based on the Gemini Nano model and allows users to create customized images that reflect their personal interests and preferences. Previously, this service was exclusive to Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, but starting today, all eligible US users can experience it at no cost.
Google first previewed this "personal intelligence" feature back in April, noting that it would gain Nano-powered image generation capabilities, and rolled out a basic version of the feature to users across the US in March. The latest move to make it free means more users can generate AI images that match their aesthetics without paying. Notably, last month Google also announced a series of updates for the Gemini app, including a new "Daily Brief" feature, a redesigned interface, integration with the AI video model Gemini Omni, and development of a personal AI agent called Gemini Spark, further expanding the Gemini ecosystem.
